Murray Riggins, M.D.

Murray Riggins, M.D.

Murray Riggins, M.D. has practiced medicine for nearly 30 years, and is highly sought after by patients and medical professionals alike. Dr. Riggins has extensive training in aesthetic medicine: he is certified in Botox®, Juvederm®, Laser treatment therapies and Laser Liposuction. He is a leading specialist in youth restoration, facial rejuvenation and skin texture enhancement.

To better serve the community, Dr. Riggins combined his experience in general practice, emergency medicine and the science of laser technology into a medical aesthetic skin care practice: My MASC. His savvy communication style has made him a sought-after medical expert in print and broadcast media. Dr. Riggins has been featured on BET News, Heart and Soul, and the popular cable television series, Untold Stories in the ER.

Dr. Riggins completed his medical school education at Meharry Medical College in Nashville, Tennessee and completed a post graduate internship in Internal Medicine at Wright State University. Dr. Riggins later returned to Cincinnati, Ohio where he became Medical Director at the West End Health Center in the underserved area and later opened a private practice.

Dr. Riggins is a member of many professional organizations including The National Medical Association, The American Medical Association, and The American College of Emergency Physicians, The Southern Medical Association, and The American Association of Cosmetic Physicians. He is a licensed physician in Maryland, Virginia, Ohio and Alabama.

Rovenia Brock, Ph.D. is a leading nutrition coach, an award-winning health journalist and a national television personality known for her easy-to-apply healthy-living tips for women and families. Dr. Ro helps My MASC patients with their weight loss efforts: she helps them form their individual plans to shed excess weight and maintain their success. She is the author of Dr. Ro’s Ten Secrets To Livin’ Healthy and an award-winning health journalist and television personality known for her easy-to-apply diet, fitness, and health advice for women and families.

As a leading nutrition coach for over 2 decades, she was named by More andConsumer Health Magazines as one of the nation’s top 5 nutritionists. She pens a health Column America’s Nutrition Coach, for the National Newspaper Publishers Association, that is distributed to 200 African American newspapers nationwide. Dr. Ro has served as the resident nutritionist and blogger for iVillage.com, the leading health source for women and families online, and joins President Barack and First Lady Michelle Obama and Oprah Winfrey on the Ebony Power 100 List of the Most Influential African Americans (2010 and 2011).

She is the Dr. Oz Show Nutrition Coach who helped over a half-million Americans lose more than 5 million pounds and serves on the Dr. Oz Medical Advisory Board for the Dr. Oz Show. Dr. Ro also serves as a nutrition coach to the Meredith Vieira Show and has held the same post on The View, helping Sherri Shepherd lose weight for her infamous on-camera swimsuit reveal. She contributed to “Anderson Live” Anderson Coooper’s Daytime Talk Show where she helped obese teenagers and families lose weight to gain their lives back. Dr.Ro has contributed to NBC’s Today Show, The CBS Early Show, Good Morning America, and to National Public Radio. She served as lead nutrition coach, to TV-One’s Makeover Manor where she also hosted Livin’ Healthy with Dr. Ro. As the go-to nutrition coach to real people and celebrities nationwide, Dr. Ro has been featured in O Magazine,Quick & Simple, Self, Ebony, Essence, The Dallas Morning News, Memphis Commercial Appeal and numerous national publications. Her book is recommended by USA Today & New York Daily News as a “must-have” to slim down. Dr. Ro begins a new chapter of her career this year when she hosts/executive produces a new TV series “The Dr. Ro Show”, a platform she hopes will help her to change even more lives. Having lost her mother to stomach cancer at age nine, Dr. Ro has researched and written extensively about ways to break bad health habits—from eating high-calorie comfort foods and resisting exercise to giving up on health goals and taking on the negativity of saboteurs. Dr. Ro holds a PhD in Nutritional Sciences, a MS Degree in Community Nutrition and Broadcast Journalism from Howard University, and a BS degree in Foods and Nutrition from Virginia State University. As an award winning nutritionist she has received many awards, including the from The National Medical Association, The American Heart Association, The American Cancer Society, and is the recipient of Howard University’s Most Distinguished PhD alumnae award (1998 and 2002).
